There is so much to do in Tucson in the summer. Our Southwest Kids Dentistry team loves to have fun too which is why we want you to know about fun activities to do in the Tucson area. Here are some fun ideas to plan for this summer for the kiddos:
This interactive museum was designed specifically for kids! The Children’s Museum offers a fun, interactive learning
experience for the whole family. There are multiple exhibits, all renovated within the last four years. They also offer a variety of fun family day programs for children 4 with their big person as well as summer day camps for the older kids. While a yearly membership provides sustained giving to support this wonderful group, there are free or discounted admission days that are advertised on their calendar.
This non-profit educational organization is just right for aspiring artists through visits, community events, and day camps. The summer glass art camp is held for kids ages 12-17 who are interested in learning glass blowing, torch work, and kiln firing. Observation of classes by the public is welcome.
The zoo is a great place to get out and walk with the family. The 24 acre facility offers public events, hosts fundraisers, and has lots of animals! The zoo even offers a zoo camp for kids grades 1-6 which can offer a behind-the-scenes look at zoo life.
With a variety of cave tours, your family can explore the natural wonders of the Colossal Cave park. Cave tours are given daily, year round in a comfortable cooler (70 degree) and dry environment. The park also boasts areas for camping, picnicking, and trails for running, biking, and horseback riding.
